The three-day structure is followed in the online and recorded modes. The offline mode at Chennai covers the same content in an intensive, experiential format with more live practice and supervision.

- Overview of Dance / Movement Therapy approaches and evidence for body-based interventions.
- Mind–body connection: posture, breath, rhythm and emotion regulation.
- Who is Dance Therapy for? Working with children, adolescents, adults and elders.
- Health, medical and psychological red flags; when to avoid or modify movement work.
- Ethical guidelines, consent, cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed precautions in movement work.
- Creating a safe physical and emotional space: warm-ups, boundaries, pacing and closure.
- Basic structure of a Dance Therapy session: opening, warm-up, exploration, peak, closure and grounding.
- Body awareness exercises: scanning, breath with movement, tension–release and centering.

Will I be able to use Dance Therapy immediately after this training?
The training is designed to be practical and application-oriented. You will learn frameworks, warm-ups, simple sequences and safety guidelines that you can begin to integrate into your counselling, coaching or group work, within your scope of practice.
Is Dance Therapy a separate therapy or an add-on to other approaches?
Dance Therapy can be used as a supportive, body-based method for mild to moderate concerns and as an add-on alongside CBT, REBT, counselling, coaching, Art Therapy and Play Therapy. In this course you will learn how to integrate movement safely into the work you already do.
Can beginners in counselling join this training?
Yes. The course is suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners. Beginners will learn structured foundations and simple practices, while experienced counsellors will explore deeper integration and case-based applications.
Is there any exam or assessment?
In the recorded mode, you will complete reflection and practice tasks before receiving your certificate. In live modes, your participation in experiential work, discussions and practice activities will be used to ensure you are ready to use Dance Therapy safely.
Will I get support after the training?
Yes. Emocare – Counselling & Life Coaching typically provides WhatsApp-based query support for a limited duration after training, so you can clarify doubts that arise while implementing Dance Therapy with real clients.
